This course takes you on a personal journey and has you examine your empathy avoidance, shame, guilt, ego, and power dynamics. It reinforces self-reflection and provides you with many opportunities to lean into the discomfort of vulnerability by trusting the learning process in the courage pathway of shame. This course is best taken with another person (or a group of people) to learn from shared experiences.
ABOUT
Dr. Laura Carapella (she/her) is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a mother of two energetic boys, the spouse of an amazing empathic Chiropractor, and a dog mom to a mischievous golden and a giant couch cuddling mastiff.

Throughout her career as a teacher, professor, diversity consultant, entrepreneur, and CEO, Dr. Laura has nurtured her passion for helping people feel seen, heard, and understood. She excels at fostering authenticity and guiding individuals or organizations through periods of transition.

Dr. Laura has assisted clients over the past 25 years and delivered over 200 leadership workshops, retreats, and keynotes in the last 15 years.
Dr. Laura earned her doctorate degree at Columbia University and achieved tenure from two different colleges in New York, teaching health behavior and human dynamics
Alongside writing three children's books on human behavior, she successfully developed a gratitude app, conducted research on anxiety reduction through proactive gratitude, and published in peer-reviewed journals.

For organizations, Dr. Laura offers a guided 2-day retreat designed to enhance self-awareness and understanding of others. Additionally, she delivers keynote speeches and one-day workshops that inspire introspection and the development of new perspectives.
